Crossover System

Crossover is a contemporary desking system. Its has a simple yet beautiful set of intelligent core components, that give maximum performance for minimal product life cost.

At the heart of Crossover is a pair of horizontal beams which provide a robust structure and a continuous fixing method for all furniture elements. Legs, screens, wire management, worksurfaces and accessories can be attached at any point along the beams regardless of the desk module. Therefore reducing the need for a multitude of components.

Crossover Beams

The system of attaching to the beam anywhere provides the flexibility to position key furniture elements to suit specific functional and ergonomic requirements rather than in predetermined, regular intervals. Additionally, by attaching all structural elements to the beams the workstation structure can be built with worksurfaces removed; providing easy access when laying power and data cables

Crossover Structure

The flexibility designed into the structure allows Crossover to provide a comprehensive range of different applications. It can be specified as a simple rectangular desk or configured into multilinked workstation clusters, from 90º to 120º pieces. Bench style desking with rectilinear, wave and double wave tops can also be constructed.

Crossover can accommodate a multitude of different layouts from a common set of components and without compromise.

Crossover Storage Boxes

The desktop storage system has been designed specifically to work with the Crossover range. When used with back-to-back configurations the storage box allows separate access and individual space to users at either side of the desk.

Crossover storage boxes can be specified at the end of worksurfaces or down the central spine.

They can act purely as workstation accessible storage or to incorporate power and monitor arms.

Crossover Wire Management

Standard horizontal wire management can be achieved using a basket which hangs directly from the beam structure. Any length of basket can be attached giving optimum flexibility when catering for IT and power solutions.

A system specific vertical riser attaches to the cable basket at any point along it’s length.

A more heavy-duty wire management solution can be specified which has a solid horizontal tray and a rigid vertical cassette with removal front fascia.

Horizontal wire baskets can have fins applied to it in order to gain three-way segregation or simply divide the space for specific cabling applications.

Crossover Height Adjustability-Manual

The standard Crossover worksurfaces can be raised manually from the standard position in inch increments by the use of stackable spacer blocks. The blocks have been tooled into a profile that allows them to sit onto the beam and stack one on top of another. To raise the worksurface it first needs to be removed and the appropriate amount of spacers added onto the beams.

The worksurface can then be reapplied and fixed to the framework in the standard manner by using the longer fixing bolts that are supplied with the height adjustable kits.

The Crossover XD system is offered with the option of electrical or crank height adjustability.

Crossover Surface Options

Flip top

The optional flip top function is an alternative way to gain easy access to a large section of the double width cable basket from above the worksurface.

A hinged section is centrally located at the rear of the top and when closed, forms a seamless part of the worksurface. To open a scallop at the rear of the flap allows access for your hand to simply pull and rotate the section by a full 180 degrees.

Once open the flap rests on the worksurface and generates a void by which the horizontal wire management can be reached. Power blocks are exposed for the easy insertion or removal of plug sockets and cables can be laid in to the horizontal management along the full length of the worktop via a 10mm shadow gap between the back edge and the screen.

Monitor arms and power blocks can be mounted onto the worktop on either side of the flip top section or directly onto the tool rail screen if specified

Sliding top

The optional sliding top function allows easy access to the full length of the double width cable basket.

The worktop is still supported by the twin beam system but the addition of two front to back runners allows the worktop to be pulled forward easily exposing the cable tray. Once exposed cables can be laid into the horizontal management and power blocks accessed for the insertion or removal of plugs. There is a simple and easy to use bracket on the underside of the top. This bracket rests against the front rail and locks the worktop in the closed position. In order to slide the worktop forward the bracket just needs to be pushed up, releasing the top to slide over the rail into the forward position. Closing the top is simply the reverse process.

Monitor arms and desktop power can all be mounted onto a structural tool rail on the screen line if specified.
